Tuition Assistance
UNL is affordable for all Nebraska families.
Nebraska students are guaranteed total grant assistance equal to, or greater than, the full cost of tuition provided they:
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 1 each year and
- Are found to be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant (federal grants for students from low-income families).
A typical Nebraska family of four with one in college and an income of $40,000 or less receives federal, state, and university grants in an amount that equals or exceeds tuition. Families with higher incomes may qualify, depending on their circumstances.
