McNair Scholars Program
The McNair Scholars Program prepares participants for doctoral studies through involvement in research and scholarly activities.
Participants must be first-generation college students with a demonstrated financial need or students typically underrepresented in higher education, and have demonstrated strong academic potential.Ten to fifteen new McNair Scholars are selected each year to participate in the Program. The goal of the program is to increase the attainment of PhD degrees by students from underrepresented segments of society.
