Learning Communities

In a Learning Community, you quickly get to know other students, staff and faculty who share your academic interests. Also, many University Learning Communities are residential, with the members of each community living in the same residence hall. It's like coming to college with built-in study groups!

Learning Communities:
Small groups of first year students who share a common academic interest, take two or more classes together, and live on the same residence hall floor.

Scholars Communities:
Interdisciplinary learning communities, including (among others) E.N. Thompson International Scholars focusing on world issues and Melvin W. Jones Scholars focusing on leadership, service and diversity.
